TORRE SCALAMBRI
PUNTA SECCA
Torre Scalambri, a historic coastal defense tower located in Punta Secca (Ragusa) along the Mediterranean coast, dates back to 1593–1594, when it was built by Giovanni Cosimo Bellomo to protect the local landing point. Rising at the western edge of the harbor, the structure features three levels and retains its distinctive architectural character.
Today, the tower has been transformed into a bar offering first courses, aperitifs, coffee, granita, and gelato. The interior has been carefully designed in every detail to maximize functionality within a compact space, seamlessly integrating furnishings and equipment.
The central counter stands out as the defining element of the project—both visually impactful and highly functional—designed to enhance the identity of the space while optimizing the overall customer experience.
